Extra Magic Time at Disneyland Paris

Imagine being able to get into the Disney theme parks before regular guests to enjoy some of your favourite attractions... That’s exactly what Extra Magic Time or EMT offers. Early risers can sneak through the gates an hour before everyone else, while the parks are still fresh from their morning clean-up and the rides only just whirring into action. Little to no queues, lots of space and a feeling that you have the park entirely to yourself.

Can I get Extra Magic Time?

If you’ve booked your trip with Fairytale Holidays and you're staying in a Disney hotel, you’ll get Extra Magic Time!

How does Extra Magic Time work?

To enjoy Extra Magic Time you’ll need your Disney Hotel Easy Pass, a small identification card given upon check-in at Disney-owned hotels. At the park gates of choicebe, just go right ahead up to the turnstiles and show your card, you'll be allowed in.

TIP If the Extra Magic Hour starts at 8:30, we recommend you being there at 8am. Bring your breakfast or drink and enjoy it while you wait. That way you'll be first into the park without having to queue from opening time.

What are the benefits of Extra Magic Time?

I'd recommend that anyone visiting Disneyland Paris and staying onsite at a Disney hotel utilise their Extra Magic Time every day. You can get so much done! And it's not just the attractions, which of course are a great bonus!

Early Magic Time Disneyland Paris Castle Empty Park

Enjoy a crowd-free photo of the castle

The area around the castle gets incredibly busy during the day, everyone wants that picture perfect shot in front of it and you can, if you use the time during Extra Magic Hour.

Tip If you stand to the left of the castle as you face it, you can get a gorgeous shot that cuts out any people in front of it!

Early Magic Time at Avengers Campus Girl in front of sign

Get a jump on Avengers Campus

Unsurprisingly, one of the busiest places at Disneyland Paris is the newly opened Avengers Campus, if you choose to do Disney Studios during your Extra Magic Hour you can practically walk onto Spider-Man Web Adventure.

Start queuing for popular meet and greets

Meeting characters is an incredibly popular pastime at any Disney Park, I should know as even at eleven my daughter still loves it! One of the most popular at Disneyland Paris is the Princess Pavillion where you'll have a chance to meet one of the Disney Princesses. The line gets very long, but if you have access to Extra Magic Time, you'll be able to start queueing early and be one of the first to meet them!

Overall, if you have Extra Magic Time as part of your Disney package, I implore you use it! On our last few times we managed to get so much done, especially in the Disney Studios as we could get on Spider-Man WEB Adventure and Ratatouille within the first half an hour!
